Tune Your RuniPod touch now includes built-in Nike + iPod support. Just slip the Nike + iPod Sensor (available separately) into your Nike+ shoe and start your run. The sensor communicates wirelessly with your iPod touch, tracking your time, distance, and calories burned. It even gives you voice feedback on your progress.
Tune Your Cardio WorkoutThis feature also works with new cardio equipment available in many fitness centers. Just look for treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and stationary bikes that are Nike + iPod compatible.
Sync with Nikeplus.comWhen you get back to your computer, sync your iPod touch via iTunes and transfer your exercise data to nikeplus.com, where you can track your workouts, set goals, and challenge friends.
Multi-TouchiPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone.
Glide, Flick, PinchBuilt to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the Multi-Touch touchscreen interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, zoom in and out on a section of a web page, and control game elements precisely.
How it WorksThe Multi-Touch display layers a protective shield over a capacitive panel that senses your touch using electrical fields. It then transmits that information to the LCD screen below it. iPod touch software enables the flick, tap, and pinch.
Type with the Touchscreen KeyboardiPod touch features an intelligent touchscreen keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, getting directions on a map, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts. It analyzes keystrokes to suggest words as you type and correct spelling errors automatically. And because it's software based, it changes its keys to support typing in multiple languages.

AccelerometeriPod touch responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer.
Responds to MovementiPod touch detects when you rotate it from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display. So you immediately see the entire width of a web page, view a photo in its proper aspect ratio, or control a game using only your movements.
How it WorksThe accelerometer inside iPod touch uses three elements: a silicon mass, a set of silicon springs, and an electrical current. The silicon springs measure the position of the silicon mass using the electrical current. Rotating iPod touch causes a fluctuation in the electrical current passing through the silicon springs. The accelerometer registers these fluctuations and tells iPod touch to adjust the display accordingly.
Perfect for GamingAccelerometer technology really shines when you play games because it immerses you in the action. It's perfect for racing games--where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel--and for tap-and-tilt games like Super Monkey Ball, in which your character responds to your every movement.
WirelessConnect iPod touch to the Internet anywhere there's a wireless network.
Connect AutomaticallyiPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks. If you've never used a particular network, it asks you to enter a password the first time, and it remembers the password from then on. So the next time you're within range, it connects automatically.
Surf's UpNow you can send email from a coffee shop. Surf the web at the airport. Shop for games from your couch. Browse, buy, and download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at select Starbucks locations or other wireless hotspots in your area.

Customer Reviews Apple iPod touch 32 GB (2nd Generation) From Apple Computer
Very Glad I Bought This Gadget I've never been a big electronic gadget person but I highly recommend this little device. Music, internet/email and lots of handy and entertaining applications to choose from all in one device is really neat. Quality of sound is great. Safari browser is very handy. The email application lets me access my email accounts without having to go through the browser. I can usually get my messages faster on the Ipod than on my PC. Lots of applications to choose from, many free so there's sure to be lots of handy and entertaining apps to add. Two final comments: I didn't want or need cell phone service so I did not opt for the Iphone. (I have lots of free wi-fi spots available in my community--the university campus is mostly one big hot spot and most restaurants/coffee shops etc. in town have free wi-fi so I didn't need to pay to get wireless access). Second, if there's one advisory note about the Ipod touch--- it's that the battery life is not that long so you might buy a wall or auto charger just to make sure you don't get caught dead.
My son loves it My son loves his ipod touch. Its a real step up from the original ipods and has a lot of capabilities. Getting to Apple's help desk was a bit of a challenge to get the software downloaded on his computer so he could load songs purchased from websites besides itunes.
Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation Good product, easy to load and play, very user friendly. Lots of useful functions. I'd highly recomend this product.

Amazon.com Product Description

With its built-in docking station and clean, contemporary design, the iHome iH5 clock radio is the perfect complement for your Apple iPod digital music player. Not only does the iH5 let you listen to your iPod music free from cumbersome headphones, it also lets you fall asleep or wake to music you've loaded into your iPod. You can also wake or sleep to FM/AM radio or wake to a traditional buzzer.

The compact unit measures roughly 9 x 3 x 6 inches (W x H x D) yet comes complete with stereo speakers, drift-free digital FM/AM radio tuning, a multifunction LCD with adjustable backlighting, and the ability to charge your docking iPod's battery right from its center seat. (The iH5 includes handy inserts to accommodate any type of docking iPod: gen 3, gen 4, iPod mini, or iPod photo.)
Immediately upon plugging it in and the clock will set itself, drawing on its factory-installed 100-year calendar (year/month/day, 2000 to 2099). The clock will maintain accuracy all on its own, even self-adjusting for Daylight Savings time and leap years.
Fall asleep to your favorite station or a carefully chosen iPod playlist using the unit's programmable sleep timer (15 to 120 minutes in 15-minute increments). Gradual Wake and Gradual Sleep features will increase (with on wake-up) or decrease (on sleep) the system volume so as not to startle you. Adjustable sleep volume lets you select a comfortable "sleep" volume level without affecting the wake-to or listening volume levels.
A supplied analog audio interconnect affords hookups with non-docking iPods, other MP3 players, cassette players, or other audio devices. Other features include automatic frequency control (AFC) for enhanced FM reception, an amber backlight on all primary buttons, and optical knobs for precise volume/tuning.

For extra security, if you've selected iPod as your wake-to source and your iPod isn't docked, a buzzer will sound instead. The clock also comes with Sure Alarm battery backup--just install 2 AA batteries to activate the feature. In the event of a power failure, or if you disconnect the AC power cord to move it, the Sure Alarm system will maintain your clock and alarm setting for the life of the batteries, ensuring that the alarm will sound at the set time.
The iH5 is "Made for iPod"-certified by Apple.

Customer Reviews
IHome Clock Radio for iPod This IHome is fabulous. I have an older iPod and it works great in this base. I especially LOVE the remote control!!
Bad product. I ordered this for my son's bedroom, but was not pleased to find that the clock didn't light up like it was supposed to. It appears that the backlight is busted so unless it is day time or I have the light on in the room, I can't see the clock.
Good not great Cons: This clock worked well for about 6 months THEN the circlular scrolling buttons stopped working well. They would move in random directions when you scrolled left or right. (i.e. to change time or volume) and NO I was not hard on them, I take care of my stuff. Also the remote is just about as close as you get to being a joke. Hardly works. Pros: But this clock really looks nice and sounds fantastic I got this for 40$ with free shipping, so I'm still happy with it :)

Multi-TouchiPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone.

What's in the BoxiPod touch 8 GB, earphones, USB 2.0 cable, dock adapter, polishing cloth, quick start guide

Customer Reviews
Great Product; Good Job Apple This is a great product and I have used it a lot. Congrats Apple on a well improved product.
Excellent but... Awesome product in any way possible but... like someone said - a nice intro to iPhone. Only 2 things things missing - phone and a camera. If I could shell out an extra $100 every month I would definitely go with the iPhone now. Think about it.
Great media player, bad digital diary If you are looking for a media player then this is a great choice but if you need a digital diary in order to synch the calendar and contacts with outlook then do not approach the ipod touch for several reasons: - Extremely buggy synchronization when doing sync with more than one computer, it has messed up my calendar several times. - Even when doing sync with one computer this does not always synchronize certain changes. Sometimes I have to press sync several times until the change appears, irrespective of the computer used. - Cannot sync Notes, Tasks etc. from outlook.

Monster iCarPlay good sound, easy set up but has limited reception in urban areas. Price-benefit worth it.
Fantastic Very durable product. Had it about a month now out here in Baghdad, Iraq working under harsh conditions. Lasting alo longer that the other brands.
Go Monster!! This product works great! I've had a Monster car player/charger before that I broke. I tried a Belkin product as a replacement and can't imagine a crappier product. Then I bought this ipod player/charger and it's been working great!

Customer Reviews Apple Ipod 8-in-1 Black Fm Transmitter Car Kit with Remote and Car Adapter for Ipod 3rd, 4th, 5th Generation, Mini, Photo, U2, Nano 2nd Gen, Video, Classic, Touch

Works great This product works great. The only problem I found is that it doesn't charge my ipod touch 2G. Appparently Apple made some changes in 2.1 that removed the 12v charging capability. This isn't a problem as I don't do a lot of driving and can charge at home. Maybe they are making a newer version that addresses this. Another thing to watch out for is available space in front of your cigarette lighter. The unit basically sticks straight out from the socket so make sure you have plenty of space.
DO NOT BUY This is NOT made by Apple as the title makes it sound. It does not automatically find the best channel and it needs constant attention to ensure a static free experience, making it a hazard for driving. If you have limited space at your lighter area, this is not a good choice. It does hold the Classic iPod firmly in place and does fairly well with the squarish nano.
Do not buy, terrible quality. I got this product for 15 dollars and it wasn't even worth that. The FM transmitter worked very well at first and it charged my iPod but after one use, IT BROKE! It's very cheaply made and is terrible quality. If your looking for an FM radio transmitter and is hesitating between this one and another FM transmitter, let me help you out, DON'T BUY THIS ONE! Your probably better off buying brand name products like Belkin, etc.

The armband is made of neoprene, providing a comfortable fit that is hand-washable and water-resistant. An integrated pocket secures a gym key while you work out.
The iPod is fully protected by clear plastic that allows for full navigation. A Velcro closure ensures a universal fit that is quick and easy to adjust. The Sport Armband for iPod nano is backed by Belkin's Lifetime Warranty.

Great holder!... This is a great iPod holder...got it for my gf for when she works out, and she says it works great...holds to her arm when working out very well, and doesn't slide...no issues with water getting into the unit like other posts that I've seen...
Not too bad The arm band works great. There is no way that this thing is going anywhere. Only problem I had was that I couldn't use the turn wheel with the Nano in the sheath. I had to basically cut out a window for it to work. Now maybe it was just my impatience, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work.
Belkin Armband Just received the armband today and took it out for a 10K run. Until recently I have used the original apple ipod armband which had a downside - the Velcro fastener - which used to open up during exercise. Well, the good news about the Belkin Armband is that it is very comfortable, sits tight on your arm, doesn't scratch or rub against your armpit. The iPod is easy to operate through the plastic cover and the touch dial responds well through it. The downside was that when I got home, I discovered that the back of my iPod was covered with sweat, i.e. the neoprene is far from being water tight. But I guess if you routinely take your iPod out of the armband when you finish your exercise and wipe it off, it should be ok. Another thing is the key pocket in which my key (a standard one) doesn't seem to fit, but then again, I bought this for my iPod, not for my apartment key. All in all I'm happy with my acquisition.

Go Home
No matter where you are on iPod touch, you can press the Home button to return to the Home screen. You can go back to what you were doing at any time.

Add Apps, Web Clips, and More
Whenever you download an application from the App Store, a new icon appears on your Home screen. And if you check the same websites every day, just create Web Clips and you can access the sites directly from your Home screen with a single tap. Not happy with how they're organized? Reorder them any way you want by dragging them around the screen.

Safari
iPod touch features Safari, the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device.

Browse Anywhere
The iPod touch is the only iPod with 802.11b/g wireless access to the web. Whenever you're connected via Wi-Fi, you can access your favorite websites to read news, check scores, pay bills, and go shopping.

Search and Find
iPod touch syncs your bookmarks from your PC or Mac, so you can access favorite sites quickly. It has Google and Yahoo! search built in, so it's easy to find what you're looking for on the web.

Zoom with a View
Get a closer look at any web page by zooming in and out with a tap or a pinch of the Multi-Touch display. View websites in portrait or landscape. Rotate iPod touch 90 degrees and the website rotates, too.

Clip it.
If you check a website frequently--a favorite newspaper, blog, or sports site--why not create a Home screen icon for it? Make Web Clips with Safari, and your favorite sites are always just a tap away.

Mail
Email on iPod touch looks and works just like email on your computer.

See it All
iPod touch supports rich HTML email, so images and photos appear alongside text. And you see email attachments in their original formats, not stripped-down versions. Rotate, zoom, and pan in more than a dozen standard file and image formats, including PDF; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and iWork.

Access it All
Access your email from popular providers--including MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail, and AOL--and most industry-standard IMAP and POP mail systems.

Send Fast
iPod touch recognizes email addresses in different applications. If you run across an email address on a web page or a map listing, for example, just tap it; iPod touch opens a new message and addresses it for you.

Maps
When you're connected via Wi-Fi, you can get directions, find local businesses, and check traffic.

iPod touch finds your location using known Wi-Fi hotspots. It also finds points of interest by keyword: Search for "coffee" and iPod touch shows you every cafe nearby.

Just type in an address and get directions from wherever you are. View a list of turn-by-turn directions, or see a highlighted map route. You also can mark specific locations and find the best route between them.

Enjoy the View
Just like Google Maps on your computer, Maps on iPod touch lets you switch between views of Google map data, satellite images, and a hybrid of both. Multi-Touch makes the difference. Tap to zoom, pan, and change your view on the move.

See Traffic
Maps on iPod touch shows you live traffic information, indicating traffic speed along your route in easy-to-read green, red, and yellow highlights.

YouTube
Love to watch the latest YouTube videos? iPod touch gives you all the fun of the web's best videos--pocket-size.

Share from Anywhere
Email your favorite videos to your favorite people. Tap "Share" on any YouTube video detail page, and iPod touch creates an email with the video link already in it.

Watch What You Want
Explore Featured, Most Viewed, Most Recent, and Top Rated videos. Or search for the video you want with a keyword search. Once you find what you're looking for, bookmark it to watch later.

Photos
Carry up to 25,000 of your favorite photos everywhere.

Share Photos
Show thousands of photos from the palm of your hand. Flick to scroll through thumbnails. Tap to view full screen. Rotate to see a photo in landscape. Pinch to zoom in or out. Play slideshows, complete with music and transitions. Email a photo to a friend, set it as your wallpaper, or share it in a MobileMe Gallery.

Save Photos
If you receive a great image in an email, save it to your photo library on iPod touch. Once there, it acts just like any other photo. You can set it as your wallpaper, share it on the web, or pass it on.

Sync Photos
iPod touch uses iTunes to sync photos you have in iPhoto on a Mac or Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Album on a PC. Just choose which photos or albums to sync to your iPod touch, then you can look at them--and share them--anywhere you go.

Calendar
With iPod touch, it's easy to make plans and stay on schedule.

Add Events
Keep your schedule at your fingertips with iPod touch. Add events to your calendar. Set a custom alert. Write a note or two. Manage multiple color-coded calendars. And do it all with just a few taps.

Stay in Sync
Connect iPod touch to your computer, and the events that you've created on-the-go automatically sync to Microsoft Outlook on a PC or iCal on a Mac. And all the events you've added on your computer sync to iPod touch.

Three Ways to View
iPod touch gives you three ways to view your calendars. List view shows you all your appointments in the coming days as a comprehensive list, which you can scroll up and down. Day view displays one day's worth of appointments visually. And Month view offers an at-a-glance look at an entire month.

Contacts
Put names, email addresses, phone numbers, and more at your fingertips.

Make Contact
Build your contacts list on your Mac with Address Book or on your PC with Microsoft Outlook, then sync everything to your iPod touch using iTunes. You also can add contact information directly to your iPod touch from maps, web pages, and email. Next time you sync, your computer is updated, too.

Search Contacts
If you have a lot of contacts, a quick search shows you a list of matching names. Or you can scroll up and down your entire list to find the right contact. Want to send them an email? Just tap an email address and the Mail application opens automatically.

Organized by Groups
If you keep your contacts organized into groups--such as co-workers, friends, family, and so on--iPod touch will, too. And iPod touch can hold more than just names, email addresses, and phone numbers. You also can track birthdays, websites, nicknames, and notes.

Stocks, Weather, and Notes
Stay on top of it all.

Check Stocks
Stocks on iPod touch shows you performance information for any stock you choose. When you want more details about a stock's performance, tap the Y! for instant access to Yahoo! Finance.

Get Weather
Check worldwide weather at home or away. Add the cities you want, then flick back and forth to get six-day forecasts for each. Tap the Y! to open a Yahoo! city guide that shows you what's happening, rain or shine.

Take Notes
Forget the pen and paper. Use Notes on iPod touch to write yourself a quick note and keep important information on hand. There's even a built-in email function that lets you send notes to yourself or others.

Calculator
Calculator on iPod touch helps you settle the restaurant bill or keep track of your budget.

Calculate Simply
When you tap the Calculator icon, iPod touch shows you a simple application with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and memory functions. Use it just as you would a pocket calculator.

Calculate Scientifically
Your simple calculator doubles as a sophisticated scientific calculator. Just rotate it to landscape to access dozens of functions for solving complex science and math problems.

Nike + iPod

Tune Your Run
iPod touch now includes built-in Nike + iPod support. Just slip the Nike + iPod Sensor (available separately) into your Nike+ shoe and start your run. The sensor communicates wirelessly with your iPod touch, tracking your time, distance, and calories burned. It even gives you voice feedback on your progress.

Tune Your Cardio Workout
This feature also works with new cardio equipment available in many fitness centers. Just look for treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and stationary bikes that are Nike + iPod compatible.

Sync with Nikeplus.com
When you get back to your computer, sync your iPod touch via iTunes and transfer your exercise data to nikeplus.com, where you can track your workouts, set goals, and challenge friends.

Multi-Touch
iPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone.

Glide, Flick, Pinch
Built to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the Multi-Touch touchscreen interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, zoom in and out on a section of a web page, and control game elements precisely.

How it Works
The Multi-Touch display layers a protective shield over a capacitive panel that senses your touch using electrical fields. It then transmits that information to the LCD screen below it. iPod touch software enables the flick, tap, and pinch.

Type with the Touchscreen Keyboard
iPod touch features an intelligent touchscreen keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, getting directions on a map, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts. It analyzes keystrokes to suggest words as you type and correct spelling errors automatically. And because it's software based, it changes its keys to support typing in multiple languages.

Accelerometer
iPod touch responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer.

Responds to Movement
iPod touch detects when you rotate it from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display. So you immediately see the entire width of a web page, view a photo in its proper aspect ratio, or control a game using only your movements.

How it Works
The accelerometer inside iPod touch uses three elements: a silicon mass, a set of silicon springs, and an electrical current. The silicon springs measure the position of the silicon mass using the electrical current. Rotating iPod touch causes a fluctuation in the electrical current passing through the silicon springs. The accelerometer registers these fluctuations and tells iPod touch to adjust the display accordingly.

Perfect for Gaming
Accelerometer technology really shines when you play games because it immerses you in the action. It's perfect for racing games--where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel--and for tap-and-tilt games like Super Monkey Ball, in which your character responds to your every movement.

Wireless
Connect iPod touch to the Internet anywhere there's a wireless network.

Connect Automatically
iPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks. If you've never used a particular network, it asks you to enter a password the first time, and it remembers the password from then on. So the next time you're within range, it connects automatically.

Surf's Up
Now you can send email from a coffee shop. Surf the web at the airport. Shop for games from your couch. Browse, buy, and download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at select Starbucks locations or other wireless hotspots in your area.

What's in the Box
iPod touch 8 GB, earphones, USB 2.0 cable, dock adapter, polishing cloth, quick start guide

More and Less3
In case you hadn't noticed Apple is quietly phasing out it's ipod. What this means is that If you are primarily interested in a music machine you may be in trouble next year and forced into either the Nano or this Touch mother. The Touch does a lot of tricks and yes, there are a lot of games. (Apple has been ignoring new games for the Classic)

The problem for me is that I own a portable DVD player, and don't want a handheld game system. I want a portable music machine and library that I can watch a movie on or play a game on if I choose to do so. If you check the features of this machine, it isn't really designed with the music fan in mind. When I am finally forced out of my 160 I hope that the capacity of the touch is up to at least 100G and can handle playlists! This is a real "Gee Whiz" product, but it strikes me too much like a crock-pot-potato-peeler-clock-radio.
